The following are the exact co-ordinates of the aerial search that took place for the missing oil tanker a few weeks ago. During that search we also kept a look out for the missing yacht Transgression.
16th. & 18th. July, 1998.
Unfortunately, although the tanker was 290m. long, nothing was found. The grid pattern co-ordinates were provided by the underwriters in South Africa. Meanwhile we are still monitoring the Yachties HF broadcasts at 0430 GMT & 0445 GMT. A couple of Yachts here in Dar have been communicating with others down and around Madagascar region.
